British haredi man charged with child sexual abuse attempts to get into Israel using phony passport, seeks citizenship under law allowing all Jews to immigrate to Jewish state
Does the Law of Return trump international law? This
question will have to be ruled on by the High Court of
Justice, following an attempt by an ultra-Orthodox Jew from England, who was
charged with sexual abuse of children, to find asylum in Israel.
The man has been detained already for over a half year. In a
rare instance, the Interior Ministry decided not to grant him standing under
the Law of Return, due to the heavy suspicions against him in the UK.
Now the issue comes before the High Court, which is expected
to rule soon, in an unusual case – is it possible to grant standing under the Law of Return to
a Jew accused of paedophilia who has fled his home country in order to escape
prosecution?
An indictment was filed against T., 48, for indecent assault
on a minor. After charges were announced, T. fled to Israel together with his
family. But when he landed, he was arrested for using a fake passport.
The Immigration Authority refused to grant him standing
under the Law of Return due to the charges against him in the UK, and even
sought to deport him back to his homeland.
In response, T. filed an appeal with the High Court via
Attorney Amit Hadad from the law firm of Attorney Jacob Weinroth.
Lawyers have requested to back the position of the interior
minister, and not grant T. Israeli citizenship.
“The danger to public safety is seen not only from the
crimes, but also from his fleeing from England,” said the State Prosecutor’s
Office representative, Attorney Reuven Adleman
That's Todros Grynhaus in case you don't know.
ReplyDeleteOMG! Thanks for clearing that up. I thought it was Mr T without his bling and make-up.
DeleteHe was helped to forge his passport and flee to Israel by an 'askan' in Manchester. Guess who?
ReplyDeleteIs he the same person that helped the London paedophile?
DeleteYes he is one and the same, dos he not see yet that if you defend abusers
ReplyDeleteG"d will punish you, I forgot g"d already did punish him once and took away all his money, with the JFS case
ReplyDeleteplease explain what was the JFS case
DeleteDayan Grynhaus has publicly said his son is innocent. Considering he is the most senior active dayan in the union his views should be taken into consideration. If you rely on him for kashrut then you must also respect his views. If you dont trust them then you cant rely on him for kashrut either.
ReplyDeleteFirstly, he is not the most senior active dayan in the union. Neither is he the most senior nor the most active.
Delete2, there is no connection between relying on his vast knowledge in matters of kashrus in which he claims he has no negius and relying on his judgement of his son's character in which he has no expertise and has a major negius.
3, why do you assume that people rely on him for kashrus. The union sales have tumbled in the proportion that lbd sales have soaeed during the past year. I'm equally sure that most people who do still eat kedassia rely mainly on the shochtim, menakrim, mashgichim and even the goy butcher, rather than any individual member of the rabbinate.
4, Rb E Halpern has also publicly said his son is innocent - going so far as calling him a Tzadik - many people find that rather difficult to swallow, does that mean that they should disregard everything else that he says?
Other than your opening statement - which I have not been privileged to hear in person, thus I can't validate it - the balance of your commentary is not thought through and absolutely false.
Do they say that Yk is also innocent?
Delete''''''Firstly, he is not the most senior active dayan in the union. Neither is he the most senior nor the most active.'''''
ReplyDeleteBy repeating yourself like an ass wont make it true.
'''''''2, there is no connection between relying on his vast knowledge in matters of kashrus in which he claims he has no negius and relying on his judgement of his son's character in which he has no expertise and has a major negius. '''''''
Since when does one need EXPERTISE to know if his son is right or wrong. It is not a matter of CHARACTER but one of deed. He either did what he is accused of or didnt.
''''''3, why do you assume that people rely on him for kashrus. The union sales have tumbled in the proportion that lbd sales have soaeed during the past year. No one has ever said the kedassia isnt as kosher as the LBD and that is not the reason the kedassia sales have tumbled. Shaalos have to asked to dayanim not to the goy butcher or the others you mentioned. So we have to rely on the dayanim for kashrut.
Go back to BALAAM that is where you belong with all your silly posts..
Your eloquence flows like molten rock on an incline. Initially I thought you to be of an intellectual standard - limited though it may be. Your reply indicates that I was truly foolish to think that highly of you. Please accept my apologies.
DeleteYou are indeed a strong proof for the argument in favour of selective euthanasia. I raise my hat to you. I would never have believed that one can be of such a Liliputian intellectual level yet still be able to string together a passable sentence with fair spelling.
Your INTELLECTUAL STANDARD is only capable of making an ass of yourself like the way you promote yourself. Not a single reply to what I wrote are you capable of making, on a public forum. You are truly foolish like you freely admit and have no need to apologise for it.
DeletePlease remember that BALAAM's ASS was killed because he had no reply to BALAAM. You with your limited knowledge are most likely unaware of this. I unlike you have no wish to inflict this punishment on you for not being able to answer a single one of my posts. I suppose ASSES like you never accumulated any degrees, unlike humans like me, and therefore you find it surprising that your HIGH!!! intellect can be so easily surpassed by someone like me. So SWIFT has made an impression on you and raised your level. One wonders what it could have been before then.
I didn't feel that you warrant a reply to what you wrote, however, as others see fit. ...
DeleteQuoting my words with a long series of quotation marks may help you rid yourself of your pent up frustrations and stresses, it certainly does not add any weight to your argument, such as it may be. If you took the trouble to read what I wrote and you copied at great length, (and I shall now pen my words in language which you may better comprehend than basic English) Not only dat Diyen Greenhouse is not the most senior active etc., he is also not the most senior of the diyonem without being active. Also, he is not the most active of the dayunem without being senior. He isn't any of those 3 groups of dayunem. Not most senior. Not most active. And, not most senior active.""""""""""""""'"""""""""""
Amazingly, you believe that a father always knows if his son has done something wrong. You should really inform the international justice community of this incredible parental insight, which would save hours of police, prosecution and court time together with the associated expense. In all future cases where a man who still has a father is accused of a crime, we should ask the father "innocent or guilty"? As the father knows these things we would get a definitive response in seconds. (Yes you do detect a slight hint of sarcasm).
As to relying on the dayen for kashrus, yes, shyless are brought to him. But as kedassia maintain, with the annual pre Pesach exception, the levels of glatt are a far higher percentage than shyless and nveyless/nviyless, then far more people rely on the goy butcher. I personally have never seen or heard anybody phoning DG or any other dayen to ask if this liver has been kashered or if the chicken is splitback, I have seen the goy behind the counter asked these and other questions.
You are quite correct when you say that I didn't know Balaam's ass was killed for not having a reply to Balaam. I was always under the understanding (obviously erronneously) that he did have a reply but was kept quiet so as not to put him to shame for the third time. As your identity is unknown, I don't have those constraints.
Your degree - based on your writings - must be at least a PhD, would entitle you to be so lordy over others, I did once get a Blue Ribband at the donkey's Cruffts show.
Mouthpiece of The Tradgedy is correct in saying that parents are not necessarily aware of the moral level of their children. My father thinks I'm a tzadik, but I am far from being one. I can however say that I have never harmed anyone and would never do so.
ReplyDeleteSorry to butt in (excuse the pun) on your tiff...but I can't quite understand the logic in Anonymous argument.

HAVE YOU NEVER HEARD OF NEGEA BDAVAR?! Do you honestly think that a father would be called to give evidence in such a case?! Furthermore, what has kashrus got to do with whether you respect his views? I am also of the opinion that the response that PI HAASON gave you is entirely logical.
None of us know this case and shouldn't judge on what they read on the net or elsewhere but to try and sway people’s opinions with entirely stupid logic that if Daddy says he's a good boy then we must all listen because Daddy is a dayan and talmid chochom! what planet have you been living on for the past year!?
Oh...and name calling doesn’t sway an argument in any direction..Try to keep a little calm – (that applies to both of you!)
Finally...if you think I am in any way connected to PI then I am happy for the blog owner (or google!)to confirm that this is not the case!
My unconnected knight in shinning armour.
DeleteHow could the blog owner (or Google! ) confirm that you are not connected. They don't know either of our identities. Even had you commented in your own name, rather than the initials - if they are indeed your genuine initials - which you didn't, and even were I to reveal my true identity, which I don't, neither the blog owner nor Mr Google could confirm that we are not connected, as they don't know all of our contacts.
I, too, am not in a position to confirm that we are not connected, for I don't know who you are. You could be a person I am very connected with. We could be chavrusas, or sit next to each other in shul. We could be neighbours. You could be my brother/father/son etc.
All I can confirm is that you have not consulted me prior to making your post, on the subject of DG, his statement about his son&), or how that has any connection to kashrus.
He looks like a total pedo
ReplyDeleteAnd if we were to judge people by their looks, I would have to flee the stable and spend my life on the trot. For I have been blessed with a rather undistinguished appearance.
DeleteDo u sit all day on this blog? Have u thought of maybe getting a job?
DeletePlease clarify for me. Was that blog or bog?
DeleteOr perhaps I sit on the blog whilst I sit on the bog?
Maybe I have a job and I get paid for commenting on blogs? Or was that commenting whilst on the bog?
Now you have reduced me to toilet humour (if it can be classified as humour).

ReplyDeleteApart from your atrocious English make up your mind how you spell dayan. So far not once right. I know you have tried every possible way but success doesnt seems to elude you and not come your way.
Sorry but you're criticising his English when you write
DeleteSuccess doesnt seems to elude you and not come your way
Hahahaha.
PH, don't reply to these dimwits. They're not worth it
