Education
Minister Shai Piron erupted into an uncontrollable laughing fit
Tuesday night at the Knesset plenum while trying to deliver a speech explaining
the penalties for the "penetration of" cell phones and other
dangerous objects into prison cells.
Before he
could complete his opening sentence, the education minister cracked up so hard
he could not get the words out, and several MKs in the plenum joined him.
Meeting
chairman Moshe Feiglin asked Piron what was so funny, and offered him a glass
of water.
Habayit
Hayehudi MK Shula Mualem Rafaeli documented the incident with her smart phone.
Piron
attempted several more times to complete his speech, but to no avail.
He finally
gave up and asked Welfare Minister Meir Cohen to finish the speech for him.
